SELLA GTX – Marron foncé ciré

The Stella GTX is the boot i have been looking for since 2018, when my Vasque Super Hiker II's could no longer be restored.
I looked at Crispi's, Danner's, Aslo's and Kenetrek's. None of them measured up.
When i put these boots on my feet, it makes me want to put on a 45+ pound pack and hike the White Mountains. When i wear these boots, my knees do not hurt, the boots provide the support, stability and comfort i've been missing. The fact these boots have a Norwegian welt make all the difference. PLEASE keep manufacturing this quality of footwear, by the skilled craftsmen capable of producing it.
The reason i bought them is simple: When hiking and hunting, i need a boot that i can wear for 18 hours and keep my feet going, because in a world of compromise, some Men don't!

Best boots ive worn, coming from meindl. Had them about 2 weeks walking around the yard and they are now ready for the mountain.

Stiff for the first day, but already feeling great, and very supportive. Can’t wait to take them hunting!

Never got to wear them

I like the way they fit. I put 50+ miles the first week of hiking typical experience for break-in and blister. My only complaint is two things. The boot strings in my opinion are of low quality construction. I would like metal ends wax strings. Also I would like the boots to have non-rubber rind option.

Great boots. I already own a pair of Tofane and acquired the Sella's so I can have those resoled :-)
I will then use the higher shaft Sellas in the winter and the Tofanes in the summer, extending the sole life of each pair and letting me resole either, as required, without ever going bootless, to infinity and beyond!

I'm absolutely delighted with these boots. After breaking them in for 2 weeks (although they hardly needed it; they fit great right out of the box with no pinch points or hot spots), I put them to the test on a 21-mile, three-day, backpacking and camping trip through the Dolly Sods Wilderness. Over rocks and through mud, climbing up steep inclines and wading across ankle-deep creeks, the boots performed beautifully.

Extremely well made and comfortable after about 5 miles.

I’ve been wearing boots consistently for over 20 years and these boots are clear cut above ANY brand of boot I e worn prior. The fit is a bit snug at the heel (for me) but that actually works well. Once fully broken in I expect these boots to conform snuggly to my feet. I expect that if you’re not used to wearing boots regularly, you may notice the weight of these boots. Yet even then, you would not be able to deny the QUALITY and craftsmanship that economy of movement and fit of your foot in this boot. Excellent product and highly recommend.

I was happy to wait for the back order on this item. I had researched extensively for a boot of this quality. I read many, many reviews regarding the overall fit of these boots as I have a very high arch and a very high volume foot. I especially researched the sizing because in traditional sizing I have always been a US 10.5 extra wide (White's custom 10.5 F) whereas off-shelf boots are US 11 M. I went with the US 10.5 and the boot is excellent on length fit and the width and room in the toe box is excellent. I have only worn in the house so far; but fit, quality of materials, and design are outstanding. Some comments indicated this was a heavy stiff boot; however, I found it to by quite light by my standards (I'm 6 ft, 220 lbs) likely due to the overall lighter EVA support and sole design. The workmanship on the interior leather lining is superb; and I was very impressed! Flex and fit of the toe box is good so far (in-house) with the bend forward of the ball of the foot and directly over the big-toe joint as it should be. I'm looking forward to getting out and putting these to some rigorous trails and off-trail. I would highly recommend this boot!

Really good - cut above what is on offer in NZ, The improvements I see on these and the Tofanes is that the lock clips for the laces could be further towards the heel - making a heel lock, and the rand a full rand around the circumference of the boot. Excellent sole, leather and bounce.
