Solid boot, well made, one blister so but that is to be expected. Wish the first hook wasn’t that thin metal but great boot sofar.

I needed a very wide boot and these fit the bill. They are built like a tank I can’t imagine ever wearing them out .

I used these boots for a few months short of three years, and they’re totally worn out. Soles coming unglued, and leather inside is falling apart. Not what I expect for a $500 pair of boots. They are extremely comfortable, and they stayed waterproof for about a year. Will I buy another pair? I’m not sure. I feel like I should get some kind of credit towards a new pair just for the fact these fell apart so quickly.

Nice and firm. Exactly what I needed. After many surgeries on my foot, I needed a boot that was still and comfortable. I tried them on and walked a bit indoors. They fit perfectly. I needed to have them adjusted to height due to my leg difference after surgery. Excellent!!! I have already suggested them to family members.

Guide Max GTX Backcountry boots are very comfortable and durable… once boots are broken in they are very comfortable like a pair of runners

These boots replace a pair of Baltoro Lite GTX boots that I had for many years and resoled once. The Guide Max GTX boots are a clear step above the Baltoro boots; the sole is heavy lug vibram, the shoelace guides are metal, and the boots are leather lined. Like the Baltoro boots the Guide MAX is very comfortable and a good fit. The Baltoros failed when the inside lining of the heel gave way and I could no longer get by feet in them without a shoe horn. The Baltoro soles also wore out relatively quickly requiring resoling--adding ~$100 to the cost! The plastic shoelace guides on the Baltoro boots also made it hard to speed lace--I had to look at the guides and lace them very deliberately. In contrast the Guide Max boots have a stiff upper that is likely to make lacing much easier. I am expecting the Guide MAX boots to wear much longer.

One month in and I love the boots! Super comfy even though they aren't broken in completely. Out of all my boots they seem to be better at keeping my feet from hurting during the day; With plantar fasciatus that is a big deal. Water proofing is top notch, I can walk most creek beds with no issues.

Product is amazing!

Very solid boots. The soles were perfect. Insoles were paper thin and useless looking. Top of the line materials and construction. I ordered men’s size 13 and they were way too big so I returned them.

The gold standard for backpacking boots. I bought these to replace a pair it took me 20 years to wear out.

The heel pocket is too large, regardless of investment of different insoles or socks worn.

I marvel at the quality and craftsmanship. These boots are perfect for me right out of the box. Can’t say enough about the customer care I received, involving another boot, my customer service agent was, Mr Elliott Chitwood. Bravo Zulu Elliott!

I’ve only hiked about 20-25 miles so far in these boots and I can say without a doubt they are the finest trekking boots I’ve ever owned. I cannot judge them on longevity yet. My previous boot was an old la sportive Nepal model, which my favorite for many years, untill they have gone to using plastic in the upper

I can’t wait to use these boots on my next elk hunt. Zamberlan has not let me down one time. The fit and feel is amazing!

Love these boots great fit true to size quality craftsmanship I bought my first pair of Zamberlan boots in 1973 and backpacked from chamonix France to zermatt Switzerland the perfect hiking boots my pack weigh 65 pounds not one blister or any problems with my feet heavy 100 percent wool socks were the key and the great fit of the boots

Great boots need to expand sizes a litte. Feel left out of zamberlan family. :(

Great fitting boot, true to size, excellent ankle support, and surprisingly light. Exceptional quality and craftsmanship went into making these boots, well worth the price.

Great boot. Just need thick socks and you're good to go. No break in was needed. Fit may be a bit oversized, but for a winter boot I wouldn't have it any other way.
