Talk about a great pair of boots! Just logged in over 50km backcountry hikes, scrambles, marching in muddy terrain and in most cases, all the above, lol!

Still in brand new(ish) condition! Never had a blister with them (a first for new boots).

I have a personal relationship with this boot. Sounds weird; but my boots have carried me across desserts, summiting mountains, through streams and rivers, and on and on. They have endured every temperature and challenge, and stayed waterproof, stable and reliable every step. Sadly, it is time they retire after so many years. But I will be buying a Zamberlan replacement. I cannot recommend this product more highly.

Best shoes i ever bought this is my 3rd pair

I've been wearing this shoe (style) for last almost 10 years----have purchased probably 8 pairs in that time to rotate the shoes, etc. These are the "best" shoes I've ever owned and in past tried many makers. I wear them all year-round as well. I receive all sorts of positive comments about "look" ---Excellent product !

I have short and wide feet (like a Hobbit). I finally found a hiking boot that actually fits! They didn't need any breaking-in; comfortable from when I first put them on

The best boots ever! We live in the Similkameen Valley and we have a lot of rock and shale around here. We do a lot of hiking and these boots are the best support I’ve ever found. They’re so well-made and they are my absolute favorites.

The Zamberlan Vioz Wide with the ZWL last has been the best boot I’ve found for truly wide, high-volume feet.

I have a wide forefoot, high instep, and high-volume foot, and many “wide” hiking boots still felt too narrow, too low over the toes, or unable to hold my heel securely. The ZWL last is different. It provides real room in the forefoot and toe box without feeling sloppy.

The biggest difference has been the combination of forefoot room and heel control. In other boots, my foot could still migrate forward on descents, causing toe impact and toenail trauma. The Zamberlan’s wrapped heel design holds my rear foot securely while still giving my toes the space they need.

These boots are also worth breaking in properly. They are substantial leather boots, and the fit has continued to improve with daily training hikes as the leather molds to my feet. They feel less like a boot that simply loosened up and more like one that is customizing itself around my foot.

They are not cheap and they are not ultralight, but for serious hiking with genuinely wide, high-volume feet, they have been well worth the investment.

Fit great out the box!

Love my boots, no break in required which is really great. The fit is awesome I just followed the measurements from the size chart. I have used them extensively for the last month and couldn't be happier.

I like these boots so far. only have around 30 miles on them. I have bad ankles, and these boots have greatly improved my discomfort after walking.

These boots are very comfortable and good quality. I appreciate that the sole has a very pronounced rocker and that the boot is offered in a wide fit. My only complaint is it should have a protective rand.

Hands down the absolute best boot I have ever owned! I’m on my third pair and will never get any other kind. They are beautiful! And you don’t need to “break them in”. Nothing special needed accept for your favourite hiking socks! Not once have I gotten a blister. Not once have a had any pain! Worth every penny!

I love my boots. I am a size width E with a Morton’s neuritis and have tried numerous boots trying to find something comfortable for my foot. The wide last in these boots is just what I was looking for. But it is not only the width, the bottom of the boot is very comfortable as well. The boots are beautiful to look at. I am so happy to have finally found a pair of boots that I love.

These are very snazzy boots but on the heavier side for uphill climbs.

All of that said, the boots are actually of very high quality and beautifully made. I ordered two pairs, but still feel like I have a defect problem with one of the pairs.

I wasn’t able to try these before ordering, so it was a bit of a crapshoot for sizing. I followed the sizing guide and got lucky! The extra width is just right for me…a bit of extra width in the toe box…without being sloppy in the heel. The quality is excellent and the break in period was essential less than a few hours…just a few lacing adjustments and dialling in the right fit. These should last many years with proper care!

Great product hand made sturdy

I would buy these again. I wear Zamberlan boots every day and rotate between five pairs so it will be a while before I resole or replace these.

Tricky sizing but a good product

Bought the boots for a trip to the Scottish Highlands this winter. Have been breaking in the shoes for about a week now, started with a few trips around the block, then up to a mile, now at 2. Using liner socks and lightweight wool, no hot spots found. I needed a supportive/high arch and a wide option, and both seem to be spot on.

I love these boots. Can't go wrong with a pair of these Zamberlans!

These are my second pair of the Vioz GTX boots and while I’m still wearing the original ones I purchased five years ago, which are in new like condition, I couldn’t resist adding another at this price point

A dream to hike in these boots so far, like walking on clouds compared to my old hikers. Worth every cent. Only been on a couple so far but tackled the boulders on Mt Colden in the adirondacks quite nicely. Hope to have them for a good long while.
