The foot plays an important role in supporting the weight of the entire body as well as locomotion. The engineering of our lasts and footwear construction take into account all the anatomical aspects of the foot, making it a true investment in your feet. Zamberlan® engineered different lasts based on the anatomical features of the foot and the requirements for various end-use applications.

Generally, Zamberlan boots are all comfortable, not too long and have a good volume.

Boot Lasts & Size Charts

To find your Zamberlan size, measure the distance from the back of your heel to the tip of your longest toe while wearing socks.

Place a sheet of paper on the floor and trace your foot with your heel against a wall.
Measure the outline from the back of your heel to the front of your toes.
Find this measurement in the chart below for the last of your model. If between two sizes, choose the larger.
Repeat for both feet and use the size that fits your bigger foot.

This is my second pair of Zamberlans and I was not disappointed with the free blast pro gtx. They’re incredibly comfortable and well made. I’m a professional dog trainer and wear these as my everyday shoe. They’re stylish , rugged and durable. Looking forward to many years of use.
As a side note, there was a hiccup with the delivery time and their customer service support was fantastic!

Wore them for the first time in Norway recently.
An exceptional shoe, very comfortable, designed to fit your foot & made in Italy !

I’ve taken these on several long walks/trails and love them. No break-in needed. They are very comfortable right out of the box. I love the mid rise on the ankle. Can’t recall if these some in a non-gortex version which you may want to choose for summer wear, but, not a deal breaker for any season. Buy them.

These are above and beyond the typical hiking shoe. Better fit, better construction and better looks. My wide forefoot and narrow heel loves these boots.

This is my second pair of Zamberlans, the first are my boots and true to form this new pair fit like a glove and are so damn comfortable.
Very happy as expected.

Great hiking boots. Good support and very comfortable for light hiking or daily work. I am an equine veterinarian and wear them all summer for work.

Im on my third pair of Freeblast and think these are the highest quality, most well designed and comfortable footwear in its class. I have the black which look sharp and keep the gray for daily hard use fall, winter and spring. Truly unique level of quality and design. I’ll acknowledge that i replace the foot bed insert with an insert that includes a plastic arch and heel cup to better accommodate my foot but still rate the Freeblast over all others. This is the best of the best out there in a low cut gore hiker. If i could make one suggestion it would be to add a natural brown leather color to the line up.

I bought the hiking shoes for my son as a birthday gift. He loves them and is happy with the olive green colour too. Zamberlan footwear is the best and our family has been wearing this brand for more than 35 years.

I bought these shoes based on the one measurement that the website advises, and they did fit in that length, but the width was so thin, it felt like my feet were in a vice. I buy the same size shoes in all other brands, and have never had an issue with width.

Hi Gord, thank you for sharing your experience. We're sorry the shoe wasn't as wide as you require. The Free Blast Pro are made using our X-Active last. This is not a narrow fit, just a slightly more technical fit. If you have a wide foot (and it sounds like you do), we would push you in the direction of shoes that come in a wider fit. Technical brands like Zamberlan require more technical fits due to the nature of how the shoes are used. A fit that is too wide can be sloppy and prevent a hiker from being able to adequately side-hill, approach, and perform other tactical maneuvers. The Free Blast is definitely approach-inspired and made to perform both in the backcountry and in everyday life. With that said, many users find that a little letting out of the laces on this style allows the shoe to accommodate a wider foot. As an example, my foot size measures a 11.5-EE on a Brannock and I am able to wear the Free Blast in the size 11.5 very comfortably. Hope this helps.

They look great and feel great!

Two weeks in, love these hiking shoes. Easily comfortable enough and aesthetically pleasing for everyday wear, though they really shine most on more volatile terrain and in unenviable weather conditions. Only question that remains is durability, which hopefully won't be answered negatively anytime soon.

Size was right. Shoes feel comfy, all good

Great fit and quality (as usual). These will replace my older Zamberlan Summer hikers (same model). My only suggestion is to keep your prices in check. While still mariginally worth it (given their very high quality and fit), the price point is getting near the top of what I would pay for a low-profile, light-weight hiker.

Fit right out of the box without a break in period. I have purchased a number of Zamberlan shoes with the confidence of quality and sizing.

I am a collector of hiking shoes, and this one is perhaps the best quality of any pair of shoes I have. Fantastic looking, feeling shoe with great fit and comfort. Seems extremely well made. Does run a tad large for my normal size.

Wore the shoes inside for a few days to make sure the fit was OK and then one for the first 5.7 klm walk today. Shoes felt great, were warm and my feet had no problems. So, for a first time out the seem great - hopefully they will stand up to further wear and tear!
